Jun 15, 2008 Champagne of beer #3: Bud Chelada

Or as it is, Bud Light Chelada.

It truly was the next step in craftsman brewing: you have the beer, you’ve infused it with lime… Of course the next step is to put clamato juice into the mix.

Clamato Bud!

I’ll be honest here; I can not taste the clam part of the mix, and surprisingly enough not the rich rich flavor of Bud Light either. In fact, the dominant taste here is definitely the tomato part. And what’s wrong with that? Nothing, that’s what!

The only problem I can find with Bud Light Chelada is that it only comes in large cans. (Surprisingly enough not in bottles!) This makes it a bit harder to finish before the whole thing goes warm and chemically. But then again, just drink it faster, people!

The Champagne of Beers Ranking

  1. Bud Light Lime
  2. Miller Chill
  3. Bud Chelada Light
