Jul 20, 2008 The Shit List #1

Beautifully articulated by Remi at 3:17 pm with 10 comments

Not a list of things that are shit, but a list of things that are the shit.

  1. The Dark Knight

Most people will come out of the latest Batman movie talking about Heath Ledger’s performance, and fair enough… He’s superbly awesome as The Joker and, you know… dead… So obviously he will get the main slice of the attention.

But really, Aaron Eckhart deserves as much credit for his performance as Dent, transforming into a completely different character than what he starts out as. (Shouldn’t be much of a surprise if you know the comicbooks…) Bale? I think he nails Batman. Hell, the whole ensemble cast is really quite something. As is Nolan who has put together the most interesting, plot heavy superhero movie I’ve ever seen.

The Dark Knight is, in other words, the shit, and the best summermovie this season, edging out Iron Man and Indy.

much agreed, mr. remi. i was quite skeptical if they could put this story into film, but they certainly did it.

I like being called Mr, it makes me sound official and grown up.

your avatar looks all grown up and officially creepy. like a flasher.

contextually creepier. like an indiana jones who has gone pedophile.

never heard of that comic. or is it just for underground pervy boys, cause i’m no longer in that scene….

Well, it’s Norwegian, so that might explain why you don’t know it. The perverted part, I believe, is optional.

duly noted.

i’ll be sure to keep this title out of the norwegian section of the library.

i have a question… did they show the harry potter before your dark knight? i saw it on the imax and they didn’t do any trailers.

No, they didn’t, though I was in a bit late. I didn’t know they were supposed to show it?

in theory. or people are lying.

i have sneak preview tix to the mummy on tues, and they’re supposed to play the HP trailer before that as well.

i’m a geek. accept it.
