… yeah, I don’t really “get” them. I mean, some of their songs are fairly catchy, but whoever called it all, and I paraphrase, “pretentious pap,” was definitely right. Actually that might have been me.

And exactly why do they dress like hippies, look like hippies, act like hippies while claiming they don’t like the comparison. It’s like hipsters bitching about the hipster term.

They really just make me want to go listen to the type of music they’re ripping off.

I never thought I’d see the day when you were getting ideas from Isamu Jordan…
The Fleet Foxes recent album is so polished, as Paul just said on the phone tonight, “there isn’t a weak song on it” and most of all, it’s a real throwback sound that I dig.
You’ll be singing a different tune come this weekend -

I don’t think I’m getting many ideas from him, unless he very unexpectedly enjoys psychedelic pop and folk as much as I do.

Yes, the album is polished. Way way too polished and overproduced, and if you’re looking for derivative sound, there are tons of bands that do it better.
